Lola

Rhode Island Pet Network was contacted by our friends at Animal Talk about Lola, a bloodhound whose owner was no longer able to care for her properly due to their own medical issues. She had not received veterinary care in quite a while and had an open and painful sore that had grown quite large. The owner wanted to surrender her to a rescue, but it was difficult for any place to commit to taking her without knowing what her prognosis would be. Paws New England stepped in with an incredible foster home for Lola, and Rhode Island Pet Network worked with them to provide financial assistance for her medical care. While her lesion did turn out to be cancerous, with treatment she made a full recovery. After spending some time recuperating with her loving foster family, Lola found her forever home and is enjoying a very happy and cancer-free life!
