Fiona

Fiona, a seven-year-old pup, had been recently adopted from a local shelter after being rescued from a terrible hoarding situation. She almost immediately began having unanticipated health issues which cost thousands, putting a financial strain on her retired adopter. She was eventually diagnosed with a large bladder stone and two cancerous masses in her chest. RIPN began fundraising, but soon found out during the pre-surgical consult that the cost would be more than initially expected. Thanks to community support, we were able to reach our financial goal. Fiona had her surgery on 12/31/24.

Her owner said, "Fiona is home today and has a bit of a haul ahead of her. Very tough surgery. But she is a very strong and energetic girl and I know she will recover over the next few months. I could not have done it without you. You don't know how much it means to me to have a support group for the first time in my life -- and probably for the first time in Fiona's life. "
